On Monday, June 5, Information Technology Services will be upgrading TRU’s phishing and spam filtering system to Microsoft 365 Spam Protection.
This filter is more aggressive in its detection of malicious emails which will result in a noticeable reduction of spam emails arriving in your inbox. However, this level of aggressiveness comes with a higher possibility of legitimate email being redirected to your junk folder.
For the first week of June, please check your junk folder daily in case a wanted email is mishandled. If such an email is found, please move it to your inbox. The new filter will quickly learn from its mistakes and adapt accordingly.
