Print Services will be performing a print server migration and upgrade starting on the evening of Friday, Feb. 10 to improve our print server performance and reliability on both the Kamloops and Williams Lake campuses. This work will run over the weekend to limit the impact on print services at TRU.
Please leave your printers on for the weekend and ensure that there are no jams or other issues with the printers so the update will be successful—this applies to all types of devices, from desktop printers to the larger multi-function device printers (MFDs).
All MFDs and printers on campus will be unavailable for printing from Friday evening through Saturday after 4 p.m. We recommend that you print any important documents before the migration begins. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience while we complete this important upgrade.
Additionally, please turn off your computers at the end of the day on Friday, Feb. 10, or make sure that you do a reboot on Monday or when you return to the office for the update to take effect.
- If you need support with obtaining your login code or printer access, please email printshop@tru.ca.
- If you experience printer issues after the migration is completed, please contact the IT Service Desk for assistance.
- Visit the Printer Support Knowledge Base article on how to add a printer to your computer.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation during this process.
